At the Spring National College Media Convention in
New York City, attended by 1,400 student journalists and media advisers, Dave
Hon (The Griffon News editor) was selected as a finalist and interviewed for the "Best Student Media
Leader" award, a national competition.
At that same competition, The Griffon News was selected as the
honorable mention recipient in the 5,000-10,000 division of the "Best
Newspaper" competition.
