Professor Amy Chastain, an EFLJ alumna (both the BA in Journalism and the MAA in Written Communication), serves as faculty adviser for The Lantern, the school newspaper for Butler Community College.
Amy and her staff went to the Kansas Associated College Press in Salina, KS this past week. The newspaper won eight awards in the two-year college category, including citations in ad design, infographics, sports, news writing, sports photography, column writing, interior page design, and Amy had a student come in as first runner-up as Journalist of the Year. Congratulations, Amy!
