One-year Replacement in Journalism

The department is happy to report that Mr. Thomas "T.R." Hanrahan will serve as a one-year replacment for Dr. Ann Thorne. T.R. comes to us with a great deal of experience. According to his blog, T.R. most recently served as publications manager at Missouri Southern State University and as adviser to The Chart, the university’s student-run campus newspaper.

While T.R. served as adviser to The Chart, "the paper received numerous state, regional and national honors. In April, 2010, Hanrahan was named the Missouri College Media Association Adviser of the Year. Hanrahan attended MSSU from 1990-1995 and served twice as Chart editor-in-chief. He also twice served as MCMA president. He is the first person to have been elected to that post more than once. He is also the first person to be named MCMA Journalist of the Year (1995) and MCMA Adviser of the Year (2010)."
